From the mailbag: Whats your Daily Driver? and your top 3 dream cars?
It’s summer time, so my E36 M3 spends most days in the garage as I daily-drive my turbocharged Miata. With telepathic handling and power that surges to redline, the car thrills me every time I drive it.
I have lots of dream cars - from timeless classics to the latest supercars to older exotics that have depreciated far enough to tempt me into a second mortgage. I’m particularly drawn to the sports cars from the 1950’s and 60’s - icons like the Ferrari 250 GTO, AC Cobra and Mercedes 300 SL. In my ‘just won Powerball’ daydreams I’m thrashing my favorite million dollar supercars on the ‘Ring - cars like the Ferrari F40, Mclaren F1 and Pagani Zonda. My real dream cars though are exotics that I can actually see myself purchasing when the time is right - maybe a Lotus Elise, Porsche 911 GT3 or (drool) a Ferrari 360 Modena, like the one above that I got to drive the snot out of.
